The hot spring is an artificial hot spring that is available 24 hours a day, making it the perfect place to relax and recover after a hard day on the slopes. The view from the open-air baths of the snow-covered landscape of Appi, which gets some of the heaviest snowfall in Japan, is stunningly beautiful.
Dinner starts with hors d’oeuvres, soup, and a salad, followed by the main dish of Japanese black beef from Iwate Prefecture and fish such as farm-raised Himemasu from Hachimantai. (Dessert is also included.) Many people come just for the food.
Hachimantai has a thriving agricultural and dairy industry and is rich in fresh ingredients. For this reason, during the green season, as much as 90% of the ingredients are produced in Hachimantai! This is the kind of attention to detail that will make even the most discerning gourmand swoon.
