Mt. Nanashigure is a favorite mountain among trail runners and a great area for casual half-day hikes. Part of the trail crosses a pasture where Iwate Shorthorn cattle are put out to graze.

This vast pasture has gates on each end, which you open and then close behind you after you enter. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and hike along this trail with a guide while learning about the delicious “Phantom Beef” – Iwate Shorthorn beef.
