The Hachimantai Hill Climb Race is held on this course. Cycle the Hachimantai Aspite Line through the Towada Hachimantai National Park The dynamic landscape that greets you at every curve is like a mountain stage in the Tour de France.

Course 2 Japanese Culture Experience Course

Distance 39.5km

This route traverses Hachimantai. This course covers mostly flat terrain, and offers a gentle ascent to the APPI Highlands where you can relax in the comfort of the highland wind, the rural atmosphere with the pristine flow of the Appi River, and the golden rice fields in the autumn.

The 2011 All Japan Cycling Championships Road Race Course. Enjoy a stunning view of Mt. Iwate as you cycle through gentle pastures on this Mt. Iwate Panorama Line – the views are just breathtaking. This route doesn’t get much traffic, and is recommended for beginners.

Hachimantai Hill Climb Bike Race 2018

The Hachimantai Hill Climb Race is held at Mt. Hachimantai (1,613m), one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan, and famous for fall colors. This famous course is one of the best in Japan, and highly regarded among cyclists. Cycle up the entire length of the Hachimantai Aspite Line- famous as a beautiful winding mountain road.

Great track! The Hachimantai Aspite Line is in great condition, safe and easy to cycle on. The slope stays consistent so it’s not as difficult as I thought it would be. And there’s a spectacular view waiting for you once you reach the summit area.
